Dr Who -- S4x1
Apr. 6th, 2008 08:46 pmWe just watched the first episode of season 4 of Dr Who. So it's Dr #10 and the Run Away Bride, Donna.
Interesting episode. I liked the monster -- they were cute little buggers. I'm still not sure about Donna. She's quite grating, although my husband liked her better in this episode than in The Runaway Bride. Donna's the first modern companion I've seen who doesn't mesh well with the Doctor.
I'm interested to see what they do with Rose. When I saw the back of her head I thought it was a trick for us. But then she turned around... She looked pretty malevolent. Drew was worried that the Master regenerated into Rose's form, but since she faded out, that doesn't seem likely. If she can come back across from the parallel universe it would give the Doctor a nice way to bail on Donna.
I need a Dr #10 icon. :)

Date: 2008-04-07 01:38 pm (UTC)I think it's not just that Jack has changed, but also that we're seeing him more in his context so we understand why he does certain things. The episode with the people caught by the Rift, for example, surprised me because he was so cold and apparently uncaring - we weren't used to that at all!
