Silly responses

I know I complain about telemarketers here all the time. Really they're not so much complaints as a way to remember some of the sillier things I encounter at work.

Yesterday I was called 3 times by a window washing company and asked that they take our business number off of the list. Today I was called by them again. The guy was very apologetic and explained that it can take a day to get the number out of the autodialer.

Still, I'm tempted to tell them next time "Thanks, but we don't have any windows. Our entire complex is underground, except for the parking. We have a surface lot and underground living."

Once some auto glass people called me, and right when they were about to launch into their spiel I said "I don't have a car." (At the time, true!)

He was very polite and stopped immediately, I won't bother you any more then, ma'am!

So I endorse your strategy.
