Pixar's next movie is opening Memorial Day weekend. I've seen every Pixar film since  Monsters Inc in the theater, and I'm not a frequent movie goer. So I've just signed up for the email notification for the Tuesday morning parents matinee. I suspect that I'll be seeing Up in a movie theater full of babies.

The new Star Trek movie, on the other hand, we're hoping to get early screening tickets for. And in that case this kiddo better come after his due date so we can see it. :)

I really like the idea of this matinee designed for parents with babies because it gives you permission to not have a totally silent baby, to walk around during the movie, and it even says "nursing is welcomed" which is great for a nervous 1st time mom... All kinds of things that might be considered to be disturbing other patrons. They also say that they'll moderate the volume and keep the lights up a bit.

Oh, wow! I've never heard of that sort of showing before! Of course, we really haven't gone to see many "kid-friendly" movies in the theaters; D and T each accompanied us to a variety of more adult movies, all late-night showings that we expected them to sleep through except for the occasional nursing. (The first Harry Potter movies, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the Star Wars prequel trilogy all came out during their infacies.)
